Ted's Hiking World Frog Lake Overlook
Warren Lake Trail
Tahoe National Forest

July 11, 2024

Well, the temperature was in the high 80's at trail's end, but we showed that it can be done even when it's 113° at home.  Unfortunately, it was 92° inside the house when I got back, and A/C repairs weren't completed until 9 p.m.

Frog Lake is 1,050 feet below

The cabins are owned and well-maintained by the Truckee Donner Land Trust

The long-time property owners declined to sell for many years, until they found a buyer that they felt could be trusted to handle their legacy properly.  Now the facility is available for rent, and is used primarily by cross-country skiers.

*
Tinker Knob and Anderson Peak to the south are on the PCT

They also are doable as a day-hike.  We'll go when there is no forest fire nearby.
